Kathy Skott-Myhre has been singing the blues as Hurricane Red across the United States and Canada for over two decades. Originally from the Twin Cities in Minnesota but named in New Orleans, the Hurricane studied with blues legend Gaye Adegbalola of Saffire and the Uppity Blues Women before she moved to Georgia in 2011. Red has two albums to her credit, Blame It on the Moonshine (with Sweet and Salty) and a solo album titled Smokin’. Whether singing Blues, Rock, R&B, Jazz, or Funk, she brings a powerful energy to every performance.

Hans Skott-Myhre

Dr. Poppa, aka Hans Skott-Myhre, has been playing sax and singing for over 50 years. He began with blues and rock in the sixties, Cajun and Zydeco in the 80s, Blues in the 90s, Soul and Funk in the early 2000s, and back to Blues for the past 15 years. With his growling, soulful singing style, Dr. Poppa is the Salty in Sweet & Salty! He has recorded original compositions, including the Sweet and Salty album Blame it on the Moonshine with Hurricane Red. He plays sax and co-production credit on Hurricane Red’s album, Smokin’

Ben Lambert

Ben Lambert was born and raised in Carrollton, GA, and grew up listening to classic and southern rock. His musical career began at seven years old, banging on the drums until he discovered the guitar at the ripe old age of 10. Since then, Ben has dedicated his time and energy to studying the great guitar players of Blues and Rock and honed his skills to become a premier guitarist in his own right. When Ben plays his guitar, he becomes the guitar. He is a soulful performer whose style brings a rich range of emotions to the stage.

Taylor Roberts

Bass

Taylor Roberts is a West Georgia native, hailing from the small village of Bowdon, and has been playing music across various bands and styles for 18 years. His approach to playing bass shows his love and appreciation for musical art forms that span eras, regions, and genres. You can find him in the mix, holding down the low end, devising and locking into grooves that create the nexus of rhythm and harmony.

Ron Rutledge

Drums

Ron Rutledge was born and raised in Los Angeles. He has been performing on and off for 50 years, playing with such greats as Gladys Knight and the Pips, Whitney Houston, Al Wilson, Gary Wright, and Stephanie Mills. Ron brings a lifetime of soul and blues to his work and an incomparable depth of artistry to his playing. Ron keeps the groove and glues the whole damn thing together. Watch him play his funky fills, and just try not to dance!
